Hi,

can anyone tell me which of the following two CPUs is likely to be the fastest - I've tried looking at various sites, but can't seem to find both on any one list.
1) AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dualcore 2.40Ghz
2) Intel Pentium Dualcore E2200 2.2 GHz

I'm in the process of replacing the CPU/Motherboard in my mother's computer, and would like to know if one of these CPUs is appreciably faster than the other.

AMD is much faster, I have been comparing my pc with my brother's one. Even it has higher specs AMD is faster.
